The light of Bethlehem is the flame from the eternal fire that burns in the cave in Bethlehem. And the Svěráks are film light-bearers who light up the audience with their distinctive poetry and humour. We look forward to seeing you!

A free adaptation of three short stories by Zdeněk Svěrák, directed by his son Jan and with cinematography by Vladimír Smutný. A film in which reality merges with dream fiction. An aging writer in a creative crisis and his practical wife, a fully undressed pharmacist and a young seducer, the search for the meaning of life, the quest for self-reflection – all this in a comedic, slightly bitter brine and with a proven cast.
